Grigorian graduated from the P. Terlemezian Fine Arts College in Yerevan in 1947. In 1953, he graduated from the Fine Arts Theatrical Institute. His works were featured in an individual exhibition in Yerevan in 1968. In 1970, Grigorian was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Soviet Armenian Republic.
